World's BEST Triple Dark Chocolate Fudge Brownies

The darkest, richest, most grown-up brownies ever, specifically developed to go well with a glass of red wine. You'll be ruined for cardboard-tasting boxed mix brownies forever after one bite of these!


4 oz. (1 Stick) Butter

2.5 oz. Dark Chocolate Chips*

1 1/2 oz. Dark Cocoa Powder**

7.5 oz. Packed Light Brown Sugar

2 Large Eggs

1 tsp Vanilla Extract

3.19 oz. All Purpose Flour

1/2 tsp Baking Powder

1/4 tsp Kosher Salt

6 oz Chopped Walnuts

Preheat oven to 350 F. (177 C.). Grease a 7x10" baking dish and set aside.

Microwave butter and chocolate chips for 1 minute, then stir until smooth. Measure cocoa powder into bowl and stir, then set aside. In separate bowl, stir together sugar, eggs, and vanilla extract. Fold in chocolate mixture. In separate bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder and kosher salt. Gently fold dry ingredients into chocolate mixture. Spread batter in prepared baking dish, sprinkle over chopped walnuts.

Bake for 45 minutes. Cool completely before slicing.

* If you're feeling sassy, you can add a whole 3.5 oz. bar of 90% cocoa chocolate.

**I like the black cocoa powder from King Arthur, but it's a little strong, so I use .75 oz. black cocoa and .75 oz. Hershey's Special Dark cocoa power. So technically, the ones pictured are quadruple dark chocolate fudge brownies.
